Hi, my name is Ewerton, but you can call me Tom, it's easier! ;)
I'm a software/game developer and 3D artist combining strong programming skills with artistic
creativity to craft immersive, high-quality experiences. While I bring years of experience in software development,
I'm now focused on expanding as a 3D artist and excited about new opportunities in the game industry. Feel free to
explore my projects and get in touch.
I'm currently focusing on these technologies and softwares, but scroll down to see my experience with many others.

Bachelor's in Computer Science
Experience in gameplay programming with C++, Blueprints, level design, AI, animation Blueprints, cutscenes, and more.
Proficient in C# with knowledge in Unity, including the development of custom tools to enhance engine functionalities.
Knowledge about how to code AI for games and algorhythms for that, since Behavior Tree, Finite State Machine, etc.
Knowledge of techniques to prevent memory leaks and effectively manage memory in C++.
Experienced in architecting modular and scalable gameplay systems using object-oriented and component-based design patterns.
Experience profiling performance (CPU/GPU/memory) and optimizing rendering, physics and gameplay systems for real-time applications.
Able to model anything in Maya, create UVs, apply materials, perform retopology, troubleshoot meshes for texturing, simulate cloth, create hair with XGen, among other features.
High-resolution sculpting for character and creature creation driven for games.
Advanced texturing techniques for both realistic and stylized assets, including the creation of complex PBR shaders and procedural materials.
Intermediate knowledge with procedural texturing using Substance Designer, including the creation of reusable and parameterized materials for both realistic and stylized assets.
Proficient in creating garments using Marvelous Designer, from simple outfits to complex layered clothing, with clean topology and accurate fabric simulation for real-time usage.
Experience using FiberShop to create detailed and stylized hair textures optimized for real-time rendering.
I'm able to customize them, including adjusting facial features, hair, and clothing to match the desired aesthetic. The new Metahuman workflow in Unreal Engine 5.6 made it easier and faster, but I still know how to do it from the old way, transfering topology with ZWrap, keeping the same UVs and textures, binding the skeleton, and so on.
Proficient in Marmoset Toolbag for real-time rendering and presentation of 3D assets, including lighting, material setup, and scene composition.
Even though I know about Git, I've learned Perforce by my own, what's not a big deal since I have many years of experience with version control, and I can use it to manage large projects with multiple assets and versions.
Pipeline-driven mindset with the ability to adapt to custom or well-defined workflows across different production environments. Also I'm capable of creating custom pipelines or adjusting existing ones to optimize workflow and integration processes.
While naturally introverted, I maintain clear and effective communication within teams, ensuring collaboration flows smoothly when discussing tasks, solving problems, or aligning goals.
Highly adaptable to changes in pipeline, tools, or project scope, maintaining performance and contributing to team cohesion through flexibility and a proactive mindset.
If needed, I have my own setup to work: AMD Ryzen 9 7950x3D, AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX 24 Gb, 128 Gb RAM, 6 Tb SSD, Tablet XP-Pen Display 24"
I enjoy playing guitar as a creative escape. It's my musical therapy. My favorite genres are metal, hard rock and blues. With a special love for Progressive Metal, I find inspiration in bands like Dream Theater, Symphony X, and Ayreon, but other metal bands such as Primal Fear, Lamb of God, Megadeth, Skid Row, Rush, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and similar ones, make me really happy :)
Tabletop role-playing games like D&D, Mage: The Ascension, GURPS Cyberpunk helped shape my passion for storytelling and system design. I've been playing RPGs since childhood and still enjoy them regularly with friends. Within my RPG group, I created a custom system inspired by the classic Storyteller for a more grounded, less fantastical medieval style, where we create a medieval world not so fantastic as we see in D&D games. Over the years, I've played across various systems, including Storyteller, Storytelling, D20, GURPS, Trevas, 3D&T, and several others.
I've been gaming since 1994 when my grandmother gifted me with a Nintendo 8-bit. My favorite games are RPGs and narrative-driven games. It doesn't matter if it's an Open world or a linear game, as long as it has a good story and characters.
I love both manga and comics. Works like Berserk, Maus, and 1602 inspire me visually and narratively. I also enjoy reading books, especially historical fiction. Some of my favorites include 1356 by Bernard Cornwell and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, but I also have a strong interest in investigative thrillers such as The Dogs of War by Frederick Forsyth.
I’m a huge fan of TV shows and cinema, especially those with strong narratives and character development. I don't have a favorite genre, since it's not terror (too clichê lol), but I enjoy a wide range of genres, from fantasy and sci-fi to drama and action. If the story is engaging and the characters are well-developed, I'm all in.
I’m passionate about history and games with historical themes I truly appreciate. WWII, Brazil Colony history, Iberian Peninsula history, and the Middle Ages are some of my favorite periods.
I enjoy staying active outdoors, whether it's running, hiking, or riding. In 2024 I spent my summer studying at Think Tank with no time for physical activity, I've been gradually returning to outdoor sports in my free time, especially roller skating and cycling, which I truly enjoy.

NBS was a digital marketing and advertising company that developed creative solutions for large clients, such as General Motors,
across various media channels. In April 2014, NBS was acquired by Dentsu Aegis Network and was later fully integrated into the
conglomerate, with the process completed in 2020. During my time at NBS, I developed the 'Rede Digital Chevrolet' platform for
General Motors Brazil and created automation tools for social media and Google Ads campaigns.
Key project: Built a custom Ad Creator tool that allowed users to design ads by selecting backgrounds, adding text and images,
applying geometric transformations, and using effects such as blur, grayscale, and pixelation within a web application.
